![]() I wish SimCity 3000 and SimCity 3000 Unlimited had a bit more flexibility for modding, just like I wish the SimCity 2000 would be the same. I'll pass unless it's the SNES version or I'm studying the released source code. I could play SC2K and SC4RH/SC4D just about anytime and enjoy it. ![]() I love it - it's a great game in its own right, but it is the one game in the franchise that I have to be in the mood for. I still play SimCity 3000 Unlimited here and there. Alas, that was right before I started to play SimCity 4. I finally got the game on CD as an 'end of the school year' award one year and I spent most of my summer nights playing that game. I like SimCity 3000 Unlimited - I had always wanted to play it since I read about it and saw videos of the game when I was kid. I personally like SimCity 4 (with Rush Hour) the most, but to each their own of course. It was the first SimCity game I had ever played personally - I watched my father play SimCity 4 for hours when I was kid before I finally gave the game a go some years later. Nice bright colors, nice MIDI music, along with the funny things in the newspapers made it one of my favorite DOS/Windows 3x & 9x games and one of my favorite games of all time. While SimCity 2000 may not be as complex as SC3KU or SC4RH/SC4D, I find it to be a fun game regardless. The original SimCity is boring to me (although I do find the SNES version of the game to be a little more fun given the rewards and the additional charm). That's why I'm more intrigued by the idea of complex modding in SC3U than in any other SimCity game. SimCity 3000 is right at the sweet spot between simplicity and complexity. Meanwhile SimCity 4 and beyond is too complex for me. SimCity 2000 and SimCity 1989 are too simple for me.
